Clear Creek ISD trustees elect officers and approve service agreement with Communities in Schools

The Clear Creek Independent School District Board of Trustees reorganized leadership and approved routine business items at its May 18 meeting.
Trustees nominated and confirmed Jonathan Catrell as board president, Jessica Czecha as vice president and Jameson Mai as board secretary by unanimous voice or show-of-hands votes. The board then conducted the pledge and recited district mission and vision statements.
During the consent agenda, Trustee Mai pulled item 13 for discussion and later the board approved a service agreement with Communities in Schools Bay Area for the 2026–27 school year to support at‑risk students. The motion to approve the consent agenda (minus the pulled item) and the motion to approve the Communities in Schools contract passed by unanimous voice vote.
The board also recognized dozens of student award winners and staff and thanked PTA volunteers and community partners during the meeting before moving to district updates and the business agenda.
By the end of the public session the board had also moved to a closed session and later approved several post‑session items, including authorizing the sale of surplus property and an interlocal agreement with the City of Webster.
