The Grafton School Board voted May 18 to approve three personnel hires and accept a resignation. Administrators presented the hires for board approval: Dana Crowat for Woodview Elementary principal, Isabelle Shennah as an ELA teacher at John Long Middle School, and Erica Zemer as a fifth-grade teacher at John Long. The board approved the hires by voice vote and accepted the resignation of Jacqueline (Jaclyn) Miller, fifth-grade teacher at John Long Middle School, effective June 10, 2026.
District leadership described the selection process for the principal position: multiple interview stages with leadership team and teacher/parent panels, finalist tours and reference checks. The administration said Crowat will begin officially on July 1 and will be available to meet staff on June 11 as the district transitions to planning for 2026–27.
The board thanked the interview team and expressed appreciation for outgoing staff. A press release welcoming the new principal and announcing the hires will be distributed districtwide.
