The contract total was presented as $75,178.86; board members discussed using Chapter 90 funds to cover the small remaining balance and noted the town will commit to performing some construction supervision tasks (regular site photos, involvement of highway staff and conservation commission at key stages) to keep engineering costs within the grant limits.
Board members also thanked Sen. Durant for his assistance in helping secure grant support. The motion to approve the contract passed by voice vote.
