Facilities committee advances Multivista documentation tool after cybersecurity check and vendor presentation

Dr. Bachelor presented a proposed contract for Multivista construction documentation services and told the facilities committee that the vendor completed the district’s community vendor cybersecurity assessment with an A rating. "Multivista scored an A rating on that assessment tool," she said, noting the district used the assessment to evaluate vendor cybersecurity practices.

The administration described how photographic and 360-degree documentation can support pay-application verification, inspections, and quality control by creating a visual record of progress. The documentation platform was described as a tool to compare claimed percent-complete entries in contractor pay applications with field evidence.

Damian Spar, who spoke at the committee’s invitation, described examples of how consistent photo documentation reduces the need to open finished walls or accept disputed change-order claims: "When you have all of this data in photo and what they're providing you in 360 photos, it's very easy to say, 'Well, this week the job looked like this; two weeks later it looked like that.' It's easy to refute folks that are saying they can't be efficient." He said the tool also motivates contractors to maintain higher-quality performance.

Committee members discussed scope and price: the administration said the current package reflects necessary services rather than optional extras, that the drone services were negotiated down, and that the contract is billed as a small setup fee plus ongoing monthly charges. Committee members raised budget vigilance but several said they were persuaded of the tool’s long-term value and supported forwarding the contract to the district’s business meeting for approval.
