Hanover Area School District board approves financial and personnel recommendations; one abstention and one 'no' on separate items

The Board of Education of the Hanover Area School District on May 12 approved its financial recommendations covering items 1 through 13 and its personnel recommendations covering items 1 through 8, the board recorded during roll-call votes.
Mr. Orwig moved to approve the financial recommendations and Mr. Mazur seconded. During the roll call, Ms. Bleich said she voted yes on the financial slate but abstained on check number 44823 (item 2). Mr. Reddick said, "I no on number nine cuz I have no idea what that is. Uh yes to all the rest." Other members who announced their votes during roll call recorded yes votes. The motion carried.
The personnel slate was moved by Ms. Bleich and seconded by Mr. Scibetta; the board voted by roll call with the members who announced votes recorded as yes and the motion carried.
Earlier in the meeting the board also approved minutes from prior meetings and accepted the superintendent's report by voice vote. The board opened for public comment but received no speakers. The next regular meeting is scheduled for June 9, 2026; the board adjourned following unanimous approval of the adjournment motion.
