The York City Redevelopment Authority approved spending $2,000 to remove an existing crosswalk near Pen Market as part of a partnership with Downtown Inc.
The funding request was not on the published agenda; a member moved to add the item and the board agreed to consider it. Staff said the $2,000 is a hard cost and that Downtown Inc. is the project partner. The motion to approve the $2,000 contribution was moved, seconded and approved by voice consent; at least one board member abstained from the final vote.
Staff said the RDA will work with Downtown Inc. on locating and installing a replacement crosswalk similar to other city installations.
