Clark County Public Works keeps Certificate of Good Practice, securing gas-tax funds, staff says

Jordan Bogey presented a brief update to the council announcing that Clark County Public Works retained the state's 2025 Certificate of Good Practice after submitting required reports and meeting state standards.
"What this certificate of good practice means is that our public works folks and our county engineer has sent in all the required reports by the state and that we've met the state's standards," Bogey said, adding that the designation is important because it ensures the county receives its share of state gas-tax revenue.
Ken Laterer, Public Works director, commended the county engineer and division managers for coordinating the work, and Jeremy Provenzola, county engineer, credited finance, fleet operations and preservation staff for compiling the exhaustive reports that supported the certificate. No council action was required; the presentation recognized staff work and the revenue implications for county road funding.
