The Rocori Public School District board approved a series of routine items at its meeting, including a vendor payment, acceptance of a booster-club donation and renewal of a commercial lease.
During the action portion of the agenda, the board approved payment to Cold Spring Bakery after a roll-call vote; at least one member said they would abstain. The board accepted a booster-club donation of swimming/backstroke ledges (about $22,000) and a rebound machine (about $7,500), a package the district described to be just under $30,000, by resolution. Members approved the donation by roll call.
The board also renewed its commercial lease with Stone 3000, used for robotics and technology programming. Members corrected a typographical error in the lease paperwork so the annual rent reads $46,350, and approved the renewal with that edit.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved the consent agenda and publicly thanked longtime teacher Dave Madson, who announced his retirement after 36 years with the district.
The board approved a request from St. Boniface parish to use district property for its annual festival in August; the parish will provide insurance and necessary paperwork. All routine approvals were passed by motion and recorded votes or voice vote as noted.
The board is scheduled to meet next on the 8th at 5:30 p.m.
