At the May 19 work study the Port Orchard City Council reviewed a staff-developed draft of mission, vision and values intended to provide an organizational statement for the city.
Several council members praised the draft as serviceable and said they would like the mission read at the start of meetings. "I don't see any fatal flaw in what's on screen here," Council Member Scott said. Other members suggested small stylistic tweaks are possible later but recommended moving forward to formal adoption.
Next steps: Council asked staff to place the draft on the next regular meeting agenda for formal adoption and to coordinate updates to any signage or materials that currently display older language.
