Seneca County commissioners approve supplemental appropriations, contracts and youth services MOU

At their May 19 meeting the Seneca County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a set of supplemental appropriations and several resolutions authorizing contracts and program agreements.
Supplemental appropriations approved included a $6,299 request for inmate psychotropic medication reimbursement for the Sheriff’s Office and two county capital-project allocations tied to upcoming construction contracts. The board discussed that two projects — youth center site improvements and a Tiffin Calbert parking-lot expansion — were bid together but will be paid from separate county lines.
Resolutions approved by roll call vote (all recorded as "yes" by present commissioners) included:
- Authorization for the board to enter into an agreement with Advanced Excavating and Demolition LLC for the Tiffin Calbert parking-lot expansion and Seneca County Youth Center site improvements (prosecutor-approved contract language was supplied before the vote). - Authorization to enter an agreement with Software Solutions, Inc. for VIP and Analytics cloud migration to support county software tools. - A memorandum of understanding with Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio to provide mental-health, substance-use and crisis-intervention support for youth at the county’s youth center. - Authorization for the board president to sign the Ohio Airport Improvement Program direct grant application for general-aviation airports and related documents. - A resolution setting the county administrator’s authority to sign purchase orders and perform appropriation adjustments for the commissioners’ office (authorization set at $50,000 per the resolution).
Each resolution was moved, seconded and approved by roll call; the meeting record shows unanimous "yes" votes from the commissioners on each item. Commissioners said the contracting work and grants will move forward under the terms presented to the board and that staff will finalize paperwork with the county prosecutor and auditors as needed.
No recorded amendments to the contracts were made on the floor and no formal dissent was recorded.
