Staff said future licensing renewals will be simplified after this initial application cycle.
After questions about lodging counts, whether campers or temporary sleeping units count toward the state’s lodging threshold, and how consumption will be controlled, Commissioner Troy Johnson moved to approve the license and Commissioner Bill LaVally seconded. The board voted by voice; the chair declared the motion carried.
Why it matters: the license enables a rural tourism and lodging operation to sell packaged alcohol for controlled on‑site consumption at events, subject to state distributor licensing and continued compliance with local and state requirements.
