Franklin County approves $380,500 grant to Rev One Ventures to support startup acceleration

Franklin County commissioners voted to approve a $380,500 partner agreement with Rev One Ventures on May 19 to support an entrepreneurial services provider program aimed at accelerating technology startups.
Harrison Zeller, economic administrator, introduced the resolution and said the agreement continues county support for venture development services to help high‑growth companies attract capital, create jobs and scale in the region.
"To date, more than 1,700 startups have completed our programs going on to generate more than $4 billion in economic impact in central Ohio alone," Julia Dwey, chief partnerships officer with Rev One Ventures, told the board. She also said Rev One currently supports more than 100 Franklin County startups each year and that the companies supported employ nearly 3,000 people with an average annual wage of approximately $119,000.
Commissioners had no additional questions and moved to adopt Resolution 31826, which the board approved.
The resolution authorizes the county to continue its annual partner agreement with Rev One Ventures to provide venture development and capital access services to high‑potential, technology‑based startups in Franklin County.
