George Wesselhoff of Planning and Development told the board the property owner wants to build an accessory building on the eastern side of the house and is seeking a reduced side-yard setback (15 feet) compared with the 60-foot side-yard required in the AG district. Wesselhoff said the property is southeast of Hickman, the future land use map supports AGR, and adjoining AGR zoning exists to the south.
Wesselhoff reported that the Lancaster County planning commission received no opposition. The board opened the public hearing, swore in potential testifiers and received no proponents, opponents or neutral testimony; the hearing was closed with no public speakers.
