At its meeting, the Seymour Board of Selectmen approved routine consent items including minutes from the May 5, 2026 meeting, tax refunds and abatements presented by Assistant Tax Collector Christine Swanson, and the appointment of Gail Banks to the Library Board of Directors to fill the remainder of a term expiring Dec. 1, 2027.
The appointment followed the resignation of Lauren Dumpko and was moved and seconded by board members; voters were recorded as in favor and the motions carried unanimously, 6-0. The board noted the appointment is to fulfill the existing term and did not take additional action.
These consent items were handled at the start of the meeting and drew no public comment beyond routine acknowledgment.
