Director Jill Gordy briefed the board on summer programming across district sites.
Elementary and high‑school summer sessions will run June 8–25. For middle school the district is piloting an August ramp‑up program from Aug. 4–20 (Tuesdays through Thursdays, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.) to offer a different format that may better fit middle‑school students. Gordy said Maple Hill has agreed to provide transportation to the middle‑school August sessions, allowing district staff to reach more students.
Enrollment as reported during the meeting included 18 students currently enrolled in the high‑school recovery/recovery‑credit option and 13 enrolled for the middle‑school August ramp‑up at the time of the report; Gordy said numbers typically grow as the summer approaches. Specialized staff for ESY and targeted services were also noted, and the district confirmed continual learning plans (CLPs) are required by law for participating students.
Board members thanked Gordy and staff for organizing the sessions and noted strong staff engagement to fill summer roles.
