Discussing the state legislative session, Dr. Rolver said most school finance items did not advance this year but noted a pending constitutional amendment to the permanent school trust fund that would increase Rockford's share by roughly $35 per pupil if voters approve it in November. He emphasized the district will continue to monitor state developments that affect compensatory and special-education funding.
Dr. Rolver closed with operational updates: staffing and support positions for next year, upcoming negotiations with SEIU and the principals' group, and pending demographic and land‑appraisal reports related to potential facility partnerships.
