- Waived the first reading of amendments to Chapter 14 (Animal Control) to advance the ordinance process (motion moved and carried). - Approved an intergovernmental services agreement to provide GIS support to the City of Kingsland; staff said the county will provide office space and training and the city will retain employment of its technician. - Approved updates to authorized signatures for the county's eConnectDirect securities account to reflect staffing changes (names added included the CFO, Joey and Shannon). - Approved the county serving as the FY2027 physical agent for Camden Family Connection under contract with the Georgia Department of Human Services (term July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027); county staff said the county pays the local agent monthly and submits quarterly reimbursement requests to the state. - Approved a CPI-based request from Meridian Waste for a modest curbside rate increase effective July 1 (approximately $0.21 increase on waste and $0.13 on recycling); staff said the county can refuse such requests under contract but recommended approval given service performance.
Items tabled or deferred:
- The Solid Waste Authority’s proposed FY27 tipping-fee adjustments were tabled to the next meeting for additional benchmarking and consideration of out-of-county rates.
