Trustees and staff set aside time to recognize a broad slate of student achievements across academics, vocational competitions and athletics.
Coaches and sponsors recognized state and regional qualifiers in UIL speech and debate, UIL accounting and other academic competitions. Highlights included district speech champions, multiple state qualifiers (notably Reagan Brooks in Ready Writing appearing at the state competition in Austin), an accounting team district title and 17 students advancing to region in UIL academics.
Athletics and FFA recognitions included: boys and girls track regional qualifiers, a baseball team that finished 21–10 and earned a tenth consecutive district championship, the Lady Cat softball team (29–8 and undefeated in district play), and for the first time in school history both boys and girls golf teams qualifying for the state tournament. FFA teams reported district and state qualifiers across livestock, wool evaluation and wildlife competitions and significant community fundraising success.
Coaches and teachers thanked sponsors, parents and boosters for support and the board joined in applause for student accomplishments.
