Kent Black Action Commission announces MLK Memorial Way unveiling May 26

She thanked elected officials, advocates and residents who supported the renaming effort and urged public attendance at the event.
Karsten presented the council with resolution material related to the signing and asked the mayor to accept a copy.
The announcement was made during the council’s public comment period; no council action occurred during the meeting on the renaming itself.
