The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District Board of Education accepted the results of the district budget vote and approved three policy items on their second reading at its regular meeting.
Superintendent Chandler thanked the community for supporting the budget and the propositions and praised district staff for preparing materials and staffing the vote, saying, "They did a really fantastic job." Board members publicly thanked voters and staff for their work.
Board members moved through business considerations for agenda items 6.1–6.8 and singled out item 6.8, the motion to accept the results of the budget vote held the previous day. The bundled motion to approve items 6.1–6.8 passed by voice vote.
Also on the consent/administrative side, the board approved the minutes of the May 6 meeting after a motion by Matt and a second by Mel.
On policy, three items on second reading were presented with no changes since the first reading and no questions from members. A motion to approve all three policies on second reading was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board announced calendar items, moving its next meeting from June 10 to June 17, and noted that graduation will be on Thursday, the 25th, at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center.
The board closed the open portion of its meeting after routine business and thanked the public for attending.
