The Lee County Board voted to appoint Chris Robertson to fill the vacancy in County Board District 1.
The motion to approve the resolution to appoint Robertson was made by Mr. Pearson and seconded by Mr. Book; the board signified approval by voice vote and the motion carried. Clerk Peterson then administered the oath of office to Robertson, who repeated the oath to support the constitutions of the United States and the State of Illinois and to faithfully discharge the duties of office.
Robertson’s appointment replaces the prior District 1 seat and takes effect immediately upon swearing-in. The board did not record a roll-call tally for the appointment in the transcript, only the voice vote that carried the motion.
The board moved on to other routine agenda business after welcoming Robertson back to the board.
