Staff told commissioners the round‑three packet is roughly 75 pages and reflects stakeholder input from city and county planning departments, advisory boards and other partners. Staff asked commissioners to submit clarifying questions and identify inconsistencies by noon on April 10 to meet project deadlines and help finalize the map and companion implementation spreadsheet.
Planning staff described the April 28 event as a drop‑in format with stations staffed by members of the project management team and stakeholder groups. Staff also proposed conducting the April 27 noticed site‑plan review virtually to reduce travel burdens and accommodate committee schedules.
Rachel, the department's incoming planner, was introduced as joining the team in May. Staff said the contractor (Community Builders) produced draft documents and maps, but county and city planning staff supplied local knowledge and the edits needed to prepare final materials for commission review.
The commission did not take final action on plan text or map changes at the meeting; staff asked commissioners to review the materials and provide written input ahead of the April 20 and April 28 events. The commission then continued into topic‑specific discussions on housing, infrastructure, recreation and other plan elements.
