Iowa City Transit will temporarily move the downtown bus interchange to Court Street between Clinton Street and Dubuque Street starting next Monday, the Presenter said.
The Presenter said the relocation is necessary "due to construction work on the Washington Street hill near the existing bus interchange." Service is expected to resume at the normal interchange by the start of the University of Iowa fall semester.
Transit riders were advised of the change and the city encouraged riders to check schedules and stops for the summer relocation. The announcement did not include details about schedule adjustments, temporary signage, or alternative boarding locations beyond the new Court Street placement.
