Omaha proclaims June 5 as Bernard N. Bosch Day to mark attorney's retirement after 30 years

The Omaha City Council on May 19 presented a proclamation recognizing Bernard J. Endenbosch’s more than 30 years of service in the city law department and designated Friday, June 5, 2026 as "Bernard N. Bosch Day." Attorney Matt Cozzi read the proclamation, which recounted Endenbosch’s start in the department in March 1996 and his work across city departments including Human Resources, Public Works, the Fire Department and the Police Department.
Endenbosch thanked the council, his family and former mentors, and said he was honored by the council’s recognition. Council members praised his knowledge, steady counsel and willingness to assist other lawyers and city leaders.
The proclamation was adopted by acclamation and the meeting proceeded to regular business.
