County staff show Gerlock how to use neighborhood hub; ambulance status and remote permitting clarified

Washoe County staff walked Gerlock residents through the county online Neighborhood Hub and community input portals, encouraging sign-ups for district news and participation in a May 26 Iverson Ranch workforce-housing online meeting. Candy Ramos said residents can use the portal to apply for boards and commissions, review agendas and submit feedback to county departments.
On requests-for-service updates, the county reported a Gerlock ambulance currently stored at the Reno Longley Lane roads yard while a different ambulance remains in Gerlock for use; staff said they are exploring grant opportunities to fund a replacement. Residents were also told that permitting and inspection workflows have shifted to allow combined-department Zoom meetings and remote plan reviews to reduce delays for small projects such as ADUs and sheds.
