Southwest Ranches resident asks council to press Publix to preserve historic Regency Square mural

One council member said he already has a relationship with Publix’s legal counsel and would email to request consideration, while staff and the mayor suggested contacting Davie planning because the store’s renovation activity is in that jurisdiction. "I will similarly contact Davie…to understand the request and see if she agrees to it prior to the item going to the planning board," one council member said. The council discussed whether to request that Publix retain tiles for reuse in refurbished stores or relocate tiles to another town facility.
