Carroll County approves banking changes; treasurer reports tax bills to mail about May 18

The Carroll County Board authorized the Treasurer to close two checking accounts at TBK and open replacement accounts at Farmers National Bank. The Transportation Grant checking account and the Circuit Clerk Oper & Admin account will be re-established at Farmers National Bank with signers specified (Treasurer Lydia Hutchcraft and County Clerk Amy Buss for the transportation account; Circuit Clerk Patricia Hiher and Deputy Circuit Clerk Bridget O'Neill for the circuit clerk account). The Board approved the changes by motion of Judy Fitzpatrick, seconded by David Soldat; approval was by voice vote.
Treasurer Lydia Hutchcraft also reported she is awaiting a tax bill test file from the printer and expects county tax bills to be mailed around May 18. County staff noted bids for courthouse fascia and soffit are due May 13 and that the architect will attend the opening of bids.
