Carroll County approves 24-month e-learning subscription for probation, to be paid from service fees

The Carroll County Board on May 7 authorized a 24-month subscription agreement with Advent Financial Systems LLC for use of an e-learning platform for the Probation Department.
Chief Probation Managing Officer Steve Brown explained that any subscription costs will be covered from Probation Service fees rather than the county’s general fund. Chair Julie Bickelhaupt presented the agreement; Susan Jacobs moved to approve and Judy Fitzpatrick seconded. Roll call votes showed all board members present voting aye and the motion carried.
Probation staff will proceed with implementation and training under the subscription; funding will come from internal probation fee revenue as described during the meeting.
