Chairman Dan McCranie introduced the proclamation and Commissioner Brian Watkins moved for its approval; Commissioner Sharon Cobb Flanagan seconded and the measure passed unanimously. The proclamation praises the value of Bible reading and encourages community participation during the stated week.
Separately, Chairman McCranie announced that the county is accepting applications for the Dodge County Hospital Authority board. Mike Flanagan reported that installation of the Eastman Commons clock is scheduled for Tuesday. County Manager Conner Bearden listed upcoming community events and said meeting recordings are now being posted to YouTube to reduce website server load.
During public comment, Charlotte Coffee, representing the library board, said circulation and attendance have increased. Lynn Brown requested building inspector reports from 2004–2005 related to a homeowner insurance dispute; the request was recorded for follow-up. With no further business, Commissioner Leigh Ann Greene moved to adjourn at 6:38 p.m.; Commissioner Brian Watkins seconded and the board adjourned.
The board recorded no public objections to the proclamation at the meeting; no votes were taken on the hospital authority applications during this session.
