Committee approves mutual-aid pact, UASI grant, helicopter repair, body-armor purchase and towing-contract extension

Chief Patrick described and the committee approved an updated mutual-aid agreement with the City of Atlanta intended to support large events (including FIFA-related activities) and shared special-operations support among Metro Atlanta agencies.

The committee approved a 2023 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant item not to exceed $132,750 for access to the Axon FUSIS camera-integration platform (contract period through 2027).

The board ratified an emergency purchase order and accepted a contract renewal for helicopter maintenance and repair (contract 1381091). Finally, the committee ratified a change order extending towing, removal, storage and impoundment contracts for multiple vendors through Dec. 31, 2026, to cover six DeKalb service areas and county-vehicle needs.
