The Miles City Finance Committee reviewed bids for concrete alley and paving work in Maintenance District 204 and recommended awarding the alley contract to Haynes Enterprises and the paving contract to Century Companies.
Committee Member Ed Pulecio moved to discuss the bids; the motion was seconded by Committee Member Cody Steiner and passed unanimously. Members noted that all bids were complete with bonds and insurance, and discussed timelines, locations, use of millings and warranty terms. During the discussion, Pulecio requested that the city require a business license as part of the bidding process.
The committee then voted to recommend awarding the alley contract to Haynes Enterprises (motion by Ed Pulecio, seconded by Rick Huber) and the paving contract to Century Companies (motion by Ed Pulecio, seconded by Rick Huber). Voting yea for both recommendations were Committee Members Rick Huber, Ed Pulecio, Brooke Bartholomew and Cody Steiner.
These are committee recommendations; final contract awards may require additional administrative or council approval per city procurement rules. The committee did not record any bid protests or missing bonding/insurance items at this meeting.
