County legal/finance staff asked the board to approve a budget amendment of $384,163.94 to bring the road fund to a zero balance for audit compliance. Commissioner Pam Castleberry moved to approve the amendment for fiscal year 2024–25; a second was given and, after no public comment, the commissioners voted 'aye' and carried the motion. County staff noted the amendment is intended to correct appropriations for audit reporting and that no cash was being moved as part of this amendment.
