County opens bids for 2026 paint striping; commissioners take bids under advisement

Three bids were read into the record: Solo Marking (Billings) for $76,997; High Mark Traffic Services, Inc. (Billings) for $72,730.95; and Highway Specialties, Inc. (Black Eagle) for $83,837.
Staff recommended taking the bids under advisement and returning to the commission with a recommendation at the March 24, 2026 meeting. No public comment was recorded. Commissioner Candace Payne moved that staff take the bids under advisement and return with a recommendation on March 24; Commissioner Andy Hunthausen seconded. The motion Passed on a 3-0 vote.
The board did not award the contract at the March 10 meeting; staff will bring a recommendation and any related procurement documentation back to the commission on March 24.
