The Lewis and Clark County Board of Commissioners voted 3–0 April 14 to approve three resolutions authorizing county participation in the State of Montana Board of Investments INTERCAP loan program for rural improvement district projects.
Jessica Makus, Special Districts Coordinator, presented three resolutions and the related closing documents. Resolution 2026-20 authorizes participation for the Oro Fino Gulch Rural Improvement District No. 2024-2 for $223,208.77. Resolution 2026-21 authorizes participation for Ryann's Lane Rural Improvement District No. 2024-6 for $42,155.94. Resolution 2026-22 authorizes participation for Fieldcross–Scratch Gravel Rural Improvement District No. 2024-7 for $48,985.53. Staff recommended approval of each resolution and there was no public comment.
Commissioner Andy Hunthausen moved to approve Resolution 2026-20; Commissioner Candace Payne seconded. For Resolution 2026-21 the motion was made by Commissioner Payne and seconded by Commissioner Hunthausen. For Resolution 2026-22 the motion was made by Commissioner Hunthausen and seconded by Commissioner Payne. Each motion passed 3–0.
The resolutions authorize county participation in the INTERCAP loan program and execution of related closing documents for the specified rural improvement district improvements; staff did not specify the projects’ construction schedules during this meeting.
