Separately, the board approved hiring a seasonal employee, Alex Lutzenheiser, through the end of the season after a commissioner moved and another seconded the motion. Commissioners also approved seasonal hires for grounds and museum staffing in subsequent votes recorded during the work session.
Staff will contact the vendor to place the mower order and will complete onboarding for approved hires. The county confirmed funding for the mower purchase will come from the cemetery fund and no additional budget appropriation was required at the meeting.
