A payment application No. 6 for William Veil Construction for work on the Madison Street/Tobacco Root Mountain Care Center project was approved. The amount was read and clarified in session as $84,009.34 and commissioners voted to authorize the payment.
Fairgrounds staff reported three verbal quotes for a 96-inch Brush Hog and recommended the low bid of $6,800. "They would approve the lower price," a commissioner said during discussion, and the board approved awarding the purchase to the lowest quoted vendor.
All of the above items were moved and seconded and carried by recorded or voice votes called by the Clerk. The meeting record shows commissioners voting in the affirmative on these routine procurement and payment items.
The board also continued consideration of a separate underground event center bid package to next week to allow absent staff and necessary document revisions to be addressed.
