During its May 18 meeting, the Lockport Township High School District 205 Board recognized retirees and celebrated student and staff accomplishments.
Superintendent Bob McBride listed honors including top national placement on the National German Exam, state-level powerlifting successes for boys and girls, multiple SkillsUSA placings, and a vocal ensemble that finished fifth out of 262 national entries. He singled out staff member Corey Duzan as the district's outstanding manufacturing educator of the year and noted student artist Caden Simerinski will have work displayed in the U.S. Capitol.
McBride invited the public to view the district's public relations work on the district YouTube channel; the PR report was delivered by Public Relations Director Jeanette Castillo with staff members Eric Slager and Grace Gonzales. The transcript provides recognition details but does not include quotes from the honorees or additional ceremony details.
