We also believe that fair compensation, both monetarily and in a collective bargaining agreement, are important as well," McBride said.
McBride said the board voted to adopt the agreement after several months of bargaining; the full contract is available on the district website. McBride described the agreement as part of the district's broader effort to maintain positive labor relations and ensure staff are paid fairly.
The action was listed on the agenda as an approval of the educational support professionals' contract; McBride noted the document is online for public review.
