The CJ Lake representative told the committee the House Republican conference had delayed a previously aggressive reconciliation timetable after the House Freedom Caucus demanded steeper spending cuts. "The timeline that they had in place was to get final passage of a reconciliation bill to the president by April 20," the presenter said, but added the House was already showing signs of delay because of intraparty disagreements.
