Later in the session staff presented 2025 attendance records for advisory boards and commissions and identified members who failed to meet the Board's attendance standard. The Board discussed whether to apply a new attendance policy retroactively for those members or apply it prospectively. Commissioners generally favored prospective application — applying the new rules going forward — and directed staff to prepare removal memos for action at a future Business meeting, while encouraging affected members to reapply in the future.
The Board confirmed multiple appointments by consensus during the work session: Jacqulyn Podger and Daniel Leonard to the Advisory Board on Aging; Dr. Ann Brady to the Animal Services Advisory Board (and later to the Board of Health); Dr. Rachel Royce and Dr. Shielda Rodgers to the Board of Health; several At‑Large nominations to the Human Relations Commission (with one nominee held for later action); Dr. Johnny Randall reappointed to the OWASA Board of Directors; and Vladimir Colina and Prof. Dr. Acharan Narula to the Parks and Recreation Council.
Vice‑Chair Amy Fowler moved to adjourn at 9:15 p.m.; the motion passed unanimously.
