At its April 27 meeting the Enumclaw City Council approved multiple routine items and adopted two resolutions: establishing a sewer assessment reimbursement area tied to the Roosevelt Avenue roundabout and authorizing submission of a youth athletic facilities grant application for field lighting.
Resolution 18‑72: City clerk Katie McKee read the title and a staff member explained the plan to establish an assessment reimbursement area for gravity sewer installed as part of the Roosevelt Avenue roundabout project. Staff estimated the work would recapture just under $88,000 from four affected parcels. Council moved and adopted Resolution 18‑72 by voice vote.
Resolution 18‑74: Parks Director Aliyah Hibbs described a youth athletic facilities grant application with a proposed award amount of $400,000 to relamp Boise Creek fields and to light two currently unlit fields. Hibbs said the project would leverage $202,000 in already‑budgeted impact fees and would require an additional $198,000 budgeted in 2027 to meet the 50% match requirement, bringing the total projected project cost to about $800,000 including a 15% contingency. Council authorized staff to apply and adopted Resolution 18‑74 by voice vote.
Other business: Consent agenda items and minutes were approved by voice vote and the meeting adjourned at 7:58 p.m.
Next steps: Staff will record the sewer reimbursement document against the affected parcels and proceed with grant application submission and subsequent budgeting steps if the grant is awarded.
