MASON — Mason County’s Aug. 25, 2025 meeting materials include a letter from County Judge Sheree Hardin authorizing the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to conduct debris removal operations in Mason County and an interlocal agreement setting terms for temporary use of county premises.
The letter signed by Judge Hardin authorizes waterway, private‑property, right‑of‑way and vehicle/vessel debris removal and states the county will coordinate with state and federal agencies. The interlocal agreement names Mason County Courthouse (201 Ft. McKavitt St.) as the premises to be used to stage, sort and dispose of flood debris and identifies Kyle Wong, Section Chief, Disaster Finance, as the TDEM point of contact (phone: 512‑774‑8840). The agreement’s effective date is Aug. 25, 2025 and it remains in force through Aug. 20, 2026 unless terminated earlier with 30 days’ notice.
