The Mason County Commissioners Court spent the Sept. 8, 2025 meeting approving routine administrative and fiscal items, personnel actions and departmental purchases.
The court moved to pay bills and settle accounts. It approved minutes for Aug. 11 and Aug. 18, 2025. The Treasurer’s Affidavit and Treasurer Report for July and August 2025 were approved. The court accepted donations of $10,326.28 for the library and $50,000.00 from Friends of the Sheriff. The Maintenance Director was authorized to purchase a box blade attachment from Tractor Supply. The court approved a new computer for the Tax Assessor-Collector Office at $1,879.96 plus potential labor and travel fees.
Personnel and fees: the court acknowledged hiring Bridgit Herrington as a full-time jailer/dispatcher at $21.00 per hour with benefits effective Sept. 1, 2025.
