Matagorda County court approves routine business, proclamations and fiscal items

During its Sept. 29 session the court approved minutes, routine contracts and reports, adopted sheriffs' and constables' fees for 2026, accepted a $200 donation for a hazardous-waste event, and approved invoices, payments, transfers and other consent items.
Matagorda County Commissioners' Court on Sept. 29 handled its consent and routine business items, approving prior minutes, contracts for fairgrounds use, fiscal reports and administrative items.
The court approved the Sept. 22, 2025 minutes; authorized one contract for use of the Matagorda County Fairgrounds; accepted a $200 donation from Sure Nuff Septic Services, LLC for the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event scheduled Oct. 18, 2025; adopted the Sheriffs' and Constables' Fees with no changes for 2026; and approved the PY 2026 renewal rates for the Post‑65 Retiree Medicare Advantage Group plan with UnitedHealthcare and Express Scripts Medicare Part D RX Plan with Bay Bridge Administrators, effective Jan. 1, 2026. The court also approved submission of the TxDOT Local Public Agency Real Estate Acquisition Report, approved a replat, authorized certain salvage of county equipment in Precinct 3, approved invoices and payment of bills, and approved line-item transfers and emergency amendments. All routine items passed on recorded unanimous votes.
Most consent items were recorded with motions and unanimous votes; the minutes provide motion records and vote tallies but generally do not include detailed backup materials in the public minutes. County staff will file and implement the approved actions and return any documents that require further court action.
