Nycomb reported K'12 enrollment of 2,361 students, pre-K enrollment of 79, and 59 students in the district's Warrior Academy (40 from high school, 18 from middle school, 1 from elementary). He announced the district's summer feeding program will run May 26 through July 31, with pickup 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the middle school; a guardian must pick up meals for children up to 18 years old.
He also highlighted student achievements: a Scottsburg High School senior won the congressional art competition for the district, the middle school band earned ISMA All Music recognition for the first time, and the high school band received its eleventh ISMA All Music award. Several students and competitions were named during the report.
