Munetake and said Ms. Munetake can serve local veterans and that she has information on grants of up to $50,000 that would not require McCulloch County to write the application. Following discussion, Commissioner Randy Deans moved to table the matter until the Oct. 14 special meeting; Commissioner Don Bratton seconded and the motion passed 5‑0.
The court recorded a separate motion to table the procedural determination for filling the part‑time Veteran Service Officer position with the same 5‑0 vote. No formal hiring action occurred; the items will return to the special meeting agenda for additional consideration.
