McCulloch County court approves grants, interlocal and juvenile service agreements

During its Aug. 11 session the McCulloch County Commissioner’s Court approved a series of motions authorizing grant applications, interlocal agreements, contracts and permits.
Key approvals included authorization for County Judge Frank Trull to apply for the SB 22 grant on behalf of the sheriff’s office; approval of an interlocal agreement for E9‑1‑1 PSAP service with the Concho Valley Council of Governments (term Sept. 1, 2025–Aug. 31, 2027); a contract for juvenile offender detention services with Taylor County; a juvenile services agreement with Grayson County; and a CTTC road crossing permit on CR 326 in Precinct 3 to bring telephone and internet service to a local community building.
The court also approved use of the courthouse lawn for 4‑H’s "Fair on the Square" on Sept. 10, 2025.
Votes and procedure: Motions were made and seconded for each item and each recorded vote was unanimous (5–0). Several motions included minor corrections noted on the record (for example, splitting a $1,800 Water Xpress bill among precincts 2, 3 and 4). The court recorded no dissenting votes.
What happens next: the SB 22 grant application will be filed as authorized and the PSAP interlocal agreement becomes effective Sept. 1, 2025, per the agreement’s stated term. The juvenile services contracts will be implemented according to their respective agreements.
