The Madison County Commissioners opened their regular meeting and voted to amend the agenda to add an agreement with MDOT concerning H Street and State Road 13, a motion the chair moved and the board approved by voice vote.
The board then approved the minutes from May 4 and the presented claims after separate motions and seconds; both motions carried on voice votes. Commissioners appointed Stacy Kmetz to the planning commission; she was present and the board approved the appointment unanimously. The commissioners also appointed Kevin Smith to fill the other vacancy discussed; the board clarified the term year during discussion and approved the appointment by voice vote.
Those actions were taken early in the agenda as routine business before the board moved into new business.
