At its June 12 meeting in Corunna, the Shiawassee County Board of Commissioners approved multiple financial transactions and contracts, including a total payments and payroll authorization of $5,482,127.78 and several agreements with the Shiawassee Regional Education Service District (SRESD).
Commissioner Garber moved and Commissioner Howard seconded approval of Invoice Edit Reports dated May 17–June 7, 2024, four payroll batches (April 12–May 24, 2024) and the inclusion of Wire Transfers, ACH and EFTs for a grand total of $5,482,127.78; the motion carried on a roll-call vote of 7 yeas, 0 nays. Warrants were authorized to be drawn from the Treasury for the total.
The board approved a two-year technology support contract with SRESD for $118,500 and authorized the board chair to execute the contract after a motion by Commissioner Garber and a second by Commissioner Howard; the vote was 7-0. Separately, the board approved a contract between the Shiawassee County Health Department and SRESD for Reflective Supervision Services for the Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP) not to exceed $1,800 for July 1, 2024–June 30, 2025 (moved by Commissioner Garber, seconded by Commissioner Emery; motion carried 7-0). The board also approved a Health Department contract with SRESD for technology services covering July 1, 2024–June 30, 2026 (moved by Commissioner Garber, seconded by Commissioner Howard; motion carried 7-0).
