The council approved the Dec. 1, 2025 meeting minutes (motion: Alder Jack Morrison; second: Alder Robert Weaver; passed 5–0). It authorized payment of bills listed as List 899 — 48 vendor payments totaling $100,804.54 (motion: Alder Robert Weaver; second: Alder Curt Gordon; recorded as unanimous 7–0 for that item). The treasurer’s and clerk’s reports were approved (motions recorded, passed 5–0). Departments reported routine maintenance and testing: Streets & Alley described snow removal, sewer work and shop maintenance; Water & Sewer staff (Ed and Will) detailed testing and sludge sampling; Police noted over 39 calls, including in-town and out-of-town assists. All these reports were accepted by the council.
Under new business, the council approved a $72 yearbook sponsorship for a student (motion: Alder Jack Morrison; second: Alder Curt Gordon). In announcements, Alder Jack Morrison asked the clerk to check a resident water complaint with the city attorney; Christine Holycross praised pre-parade activities. The meeting adjourned at 7:42 p.m. following a motion by Alder Robert Weaver and second by Alder Stephanie Lyons.
Public comment: Tricia Copass requested she be added to a future agenda so the youth softball board can pursue installation of scoreboards at the city’s baseball diamonds. The council did not take action on that request at the Dec. 15 meeting.
